MLB: Houston 5, Pittsburgh 2

HOUSTON, April 24 (UPI) -- Wandy Rodriguez pitched 7 1/3 solid innings and Pedro Feliz knocked a two-run homer Saturday to lead the Houston Astros to a 5-2 win over Pittsburgh.

Rodriguez (1-2) scattered five hits and allowed only one earned run, striking out seven and walking one, and Hunter Pence hit a two-run first-inning double as the Astros won their sixth game in seven outings.

Tommy Manzella collected a pair of hits and Humberto Quintero got an RBI in the Astros' win.

Pittsburgh Pirates starter Chris Jakubauskas (0-1) was hit in the head by a line drive struck by Lance Berkman in the first inning and was taken off the field. The hurler was conscious and trainers applied an ice pack to his forehead.

Jason Jaramillo homered and Andrew McCutchen got the other RBI in the Pirates' loss.
