MLB: Boston 4, Baltimore 3

BOSTON, April 24 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre drove in the go-ahead run by drawing a bases-loaded walk in the eighth inning Friday, giving Boston a 4-3 win over Baltimore.

The Orioles lost their fourth straight and fell to 2-15 for the season, easily the worst record in the majors.

Baltimore rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game in the top of the eighth, but Boston capitalized on a rash of wildness to produce the winning run in the bottom half of the inning.

J.D. Drew singled to open the eighth and moved around to third on a pair of ground outs. Will Ohman then came on to relieve Matt Alberts (0-2) and issued an intentional walk to Victor Martinez. Ohman walked David Ortiz as well to load the bases and gave way to Jim Johnson, who promptly walked Beltre to force in Drew with the game-winner.

That gave the victory to Manny Delcarmen (1-1), who worked the top of the eighth. Jonathan Papelbon picked up his fourth save, striking out Julio Lugo to end the game after Baltimore had put runners on first and second.
