NHL: Chicago 3, Nashville 0

NASHVILLE, April 22 (UPI) -- Antti Niemi made 33 saves and collected his second shutout of the series Thursday, carrying Chicago to a 3-0 victory over Nashville.

The Blackhawks evened the best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinals at 2-2 and will try to take their first lead in the series when they host Game 5 on Saturday.

Niemi also blanked the Predators 2-0 last Sunday in Chicago.

Patrick Sharp began and ended the Chicago scoring with his first two goals of the playoffs. He produced a power-play goal midway through the first and gave Chicago a 3-0 lead with 3:43 to go in the second on a wrist shot that beat Pekka Rinne.

Jonathan Toews tipped in a shot by Marian Hossa for Chicago's second goal.

Chicago defenseman Brian Campbell played for the first time since mid-March, having been out with fractures to his clavicle and ribs as a result of a hit by Washington's Alex Ovechkin.

Rinne made 30 saves for Nashville, which is trying for its first playoff series victory in franchise history. The Predators again played without leading scorer Patric Hornqvist, who missed his third straight game because of an upper-body injury.
