CHICAGO, April 21 (UPI) -- Sean Rodriguez finished off one big inning and started another Friday in leading Tampa Bay to a 12-0 mauling of the Chicago White Sox.
Rodriguez was one of three Rays with three hits and he drove in four runs, helping Tampa Bay win its eighth road game in nine tries.

He singled in the fourth run of a four-run fourth inning that gave Tampa Bay a 5-0 advantage. Rodriguez then launched the Rays on their way to a six-run sixth by hitting a three-run homer.
Wade Davis (1-1) struck out six and gave up only two hits in six innings. Michael Ekstrom and Andy Sonnastine completed the shutout.
Mark Buehrle (2-2) took the loss, surrendering six runs on nine hits in 4 2/3. He threw a perfect game against the Rays last season.
