MLB: San Diego 1, San Francisco 0

SAN DIEGO, April 21 (UPI) -- Chase Headley had the only hit and scored a run for the San Diego Padres Tuesday in a 1-0 win over San Francisco.

Padres' starter Mat Latos (1-1) combined with the bullpen on a six-hitter that extended San Diego's winning streak to five games.

Headley scored on a sacrifice fly by Scott Hairston.

Giants' starter Jonathan Sanchez (1-1) took the loss despite giving up just one hit and three walks and striking out 10 over seven innings.

San Diego scored in the fourth inning when Headley led off with a single, stole second and then took third on a foul out by Kyle Blanks. He came home on Hairston's fly ball to right.

Latos cruised through seven innings with four hits, a walk and two strikeouts. Mike Adams came on and gave up a leadoff triple to Nate Schierholtz, but pitched his way out of the inning with no further damage. Heath Bell pitched the ninth, giving up one hit and collecting his fourth save.
