TORONTO, April 20 (UPI) -- John Buck's RBI single in the seventh put Toronto ahead and the Blue Jays hung on to post a 4-3 win over Kansas City Tuesday.
Trailing 3-2 entering the seventh, the Jays got a leadoff double from Vernon Wells off Royals' starter Kyle Davies (1-1). Lyle Overbay followed with another double, sending Wells to third.

Jose Bautista's single plated Wells to produce a tie, and Buck's hit scored Overbay to give the Jays a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Shawn Camp (1-0), Jason Frasor and Kevin Gregg (notching his fourth save) combined to pitch 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the Blue Jays.
Jason Kendall, Mitch Maier and Alberto Callaspo got the RBI for the Royals.
