Singler to return to Duke as senior

DURHAM, N.C., April 19 (UPI) -- Duke junior Kyle Singler said Monday he'll return to the Blue Devils for his senior year.

"I love being here at Duke and am excited about next year," Singler said. "I had two great options in front of me, but I did not want to miss out on all of the great things to come in a senior season."

Singler this season helped lead Duke to its fourth NCAA championship, averaging 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists as the Blue Devils posted a 35-5 record. He scored 20 or more points in 17 games and notched recording seven double-doubles.

"I am looking forward to coaching Kyle in his senior year and seeing him develop more as a player and as a leader," Duke head Coach Mike Krzyzewski said.
