Langer wins shortened Outback Pro-Am

LUTZ, Fla., April 18 (UPI) -- Bernhard Langer won his 10th Champions Tour event Sunday, claiming the weather-shortened Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am by one stroke.

Langer, who led after Saturday's second round, finished with a 36-hole score of nine-under 133, besting Mark O'Meara and Mike Reid by a single stroke while dodging raindrops at the TPC Tampa Bay course.

Sunday's final round was halted at 10 a.m. and after a wait of several hours, officials decided not to resume play.

Tom Kite claimed fourth place, finishing at seven-under 135, while defending Outback champ Nick Price was part a three-way logjam at 136. Tom Watson, who has claimed the event twice, was among four players at 137.
