Roy Halladay (3-0) gave up two runs over eight innings to get the victory. After David Herndon gave up four runs in the ninth, Ryan Madson came on to record the final two outs for his third save.

Placido Polanco and Chase Utley both had a solo homer for Philadelphia. Castro had an RBI single during Philadelphia's three-run first, delivered a sacrifice fly in the third and then finished off a three-run seventh with another RBI base hit.
