DENVER, April 13 (UPI) -- J.R. Smith netted 26 points and Arron Afflalo added 23 Monday as the Denver Nuggets breezed past Memphis 123-101.

Smith sank six 3-pointers and Afflalo yanked down 13 rebounds as the Nuggets grabbed sole possession of first place in the Northwest Division, moving one-half game ahead of Utah.

Carmelo Anthony contributed 21 points and Nene added 20 for the Nuggets, winners of 10 of their last 11 meetings with Memphis.

The Grizzlies were led by Mike Conley with 22 points and Sam Young with 18.
