NHL: Anaheim 7, Edmonton 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 11 (UPI) -- Ryan Carter scored twice Sunday in Anaheim's 7-2 win over Edmonton in the final game of the season for both teams and the last game of the NHL regular season.

Steve Eminger and Kyle Chipchura each had a goal and assist for the Ducks, who finished the season with a win following three straight losses. Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller let in one goal on 19 shots before being removed from the game, apparently due to an injury. Curtis McElhinney stopped 11 shots in relief of Hiller.

Jeff Deslauriers allowed seven goals on 45 shots for the Oilers, who finished with the worst record in the NHL -- 27-47-8 -- their worst finish since going 26-50-8 in 1992-93.
