PHOENIX, April 11 (UPI) -- Akinori Iwamura belted a two-run homer to back seven strong innings from Zach Duke as the Pittsburgh Pirates downed Arizona 6-3 Saturday.
Iwamura went 2-for-4 while Duke (2-0) allowed only two runs and four hits as the Pirates halted a two-game winless streak.

The Bucs also picked up a homer from Jeff Clement in the win while Andy LaRoche went 2-for-4 and scored once.
The loss went to Arizona's Dan Haren (1-1), who was touched for six runs in 6 2/3 innings.
The Diamondbacks lost despite a two-run homer from Mark Reynolds.
