MLB: Detroit 9, Cleveland 8

DETROIT, April 11 (UPI) -- Carlos Guillen came home on a wild pitch in the ninth inning Sunday and the Detroit Tigers rallied from a six-run deficit to down Cleveland 9-8.

Guillen's RBI double down the right-field line scored Magglio Ordonez to pull Detroit to within 8-7 with one out in the ninth. After Chris Perez (0-1) induced Brandon Inge to ground out, he issued two straight walks to force in the tying run and send Guillen to third.

Perez then unloaded a wild pitch to Scott Sizemore and Guillen trotted home with the winning run as the ball scooted underneath catcher Lou Marson.

Miguel Cabrera went 3-for-3 with three walks, an RBI and two runs scored while Ordonez knocked in a pair of runs to help Detroit complete a three-game sweep of the Indians.

Luis Valbuena connected for his first career grand slam for Cleveland, which has dropped four of six to begin the season.
