MLB: Chicago Cubs 4, Cincinnati 3

CINCINNATI, April 10 (UPI) -- Jeff Baker connected on a pinch-hit solo homer in the eighth inning Saturday, lifting the Chicago Cubs past Cincinnati 4-3.

With the score tied 3-3, Arthur Rhodes (0-1) came on in relief of Reds starter Aaron Harang and quickly surrendered the round-tripper to Baker, which completed a Chicago comeback from three-run deficit.

Kosuke Fukudome hit a two-run homer and Alfonso Soriano added a solo shot as the Cubs notched their second win in three games.

Carlos Zambrano (1-1) pitched seven innings to pick up the win while Carlos Marmol fanned all three Reds he faced in the ninth to earn his second save.

Brandon Phillips popped a two-run round-tripper for Cincinnati in the loss.
