ANAHEIM, Calif., April 8 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau hit a two-run homer in the fourth Wednesday and Carl Pavano worked seven innings in bringing Minnesota a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Morneau's blast broke a scoreless tie and J.J. Hardy hit a solo shot one inning later. Both Morneau and Hardy have two homers in the young season.

Pavano allowed a run on six hits and struck out six before giving way to Matt Guerrier in the eighth.
Jon Rauch collected the save despite giving up a run in the ninth.
Ervin Santana took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits in six innings. The Twins won two out of three in the season-opening series.
