RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif., April 4 (UPI) -- Yani Tseng fired a 4-under 68, rallying from one stoke down after three rounds to win the Kraft Nabisco Championship Sunday.
Tseng, who trailed third-round leader Karen Stupples by one stroke coming into the final round, struck quickly with a chip-in eagle on the par-5 second hole and never looked back, posting a birdie on the next hole to add to her momentum.
It was the second major title for the 21-year-old from Taiwan, who ended with a 13-under-par 275. She also won the 2008 McDonald's LPGA Championship.
Suzann Pettersen almost pulled off an eagle on the final hole that could have forced a playoff, but instead finished one stroke back at 12-under-par 276.
Song-Hee Kim (70) finished third at 9-under, while Lorena Ochoa ended three strokes off the pace at 6-under 282 after a final-round 73. Stupples stumbled to a 6-over 78, falling into a tie for fifth place at 4-under-par 284.
