RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif., April 2 (UPI) -- Song-Hee Kim turned in a bogey-free round of 68 Friday that put her one shot in front after 36 holes of the Kraft Nabisco Championship at Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Kim is in her fourth year on the LPGA Tour and has yet to win, but she has been among the top 10 finishers in each of the three events on the circuit this season.
She reached the midway point of the year's first major championship with a 7-under 137 total.
Karen Stupples, Cristie Kerr and world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa were all at 138. Kerr birdied two of the last three holes to shoot a 5-under 67, one of only five rounds in the 60s fired Friday.
