Butler popped in 18 points and Mazzulla, making his first start of the season filling in for the injured Darryl Bryant, added a career-high 17 as West Virginia (31-6), the No. 2 seed, reached the Final Four for the first time since 1959.

Kevin Jones and Devin Ebanks chipped in with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

The Mountaineers, who were deadly from 3-point territory on 10-of-23 shooting, will play the winner of Sunday's South Regional final between Duke and Baylor next Saturday in Indianapolis.

The loss by No. 1 seed Kentucky (35-3) left Duke as the only remaining top seed in the NCAA Tournament. Freshmen John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins ended with 19 and 15 points in the Wildcats' loss.

Kentucky dropped its fourth straight regional final. The Wildcats also lost such contests in 1999, 2003 and 2005.
