NBA: Sacramento 114, Minnesota 100

SACRAMENTO, March 14 (UPI) -- Tyreke Evans had 29 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds Sunday to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 114-100 win, handing Minnesota its ninth straight loss.

Donte Greene finished with 19 points and eight rebounds and Jason Thompson had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Kings, who won for just the second time in their last six games. Carl Landry scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds for Sacramento.

Al Jefferson led the Timberwolves with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Wayne Ellington scored 15 and Ryan Gomes scored 14 for Minnesota, which has lost 15 of its last 16 games.

The Kings took a 32-28 lead into the second quarter and then went on runs of 11-2 and 8-0 to establish control. Sacramento outscored the Timberwolves 30-12 in the third to take a 94-61 lead into the fourth quarter.

Minnesota managed to win the fourth quarter 39-20 but it was not enough to get them back in the game.
