Els claims Doral in four-stroke victory

DORAL, Fla., March 14 (UPI) -- Ernie Els carded a 6-under 66 Sunday, downing fellow South African Charl Schwartzel by four strokes and claiming the WGC-CA Championship.

Els didn't make a single bogey in the round, which earned him his second title at Doral, Fla. He posted an 18-under-par 270 for the tourney, missing Phil Mickelson's tournament scoring record by a single stroke.

Els notched his 17th PGA Tour win and his 25th on the European Tour.

Schwartzel claimed a share of the lead on several occasions Sunday, but his fate was sealed with two late bogeys at the TPC Blue Monster at Doral, Fla. He finished with a 2-under 70 to take second at 14-under 274.

Sharing third place at 11-under 277 were Matt Kuchar (68), Martin Kaymer (69) and Padraig Harrington (72).
