NHL: Nashville 2, Atlanta 1

ATLANTA, March 9 (UPI) -- Ryan Suter and Colin Wilson notched goals Tuesday to power the Nashville Predators to a 2-1 victory Atlanta.

Suter scored on a first-period power play and Wilson found the net near the end of the period, giving the Predators all the scoring they'd need, as Dan Ellis was solid in goal, stopping 30-of-31 shots.

The Predators stopped a two-game losing streak and hung onto seventh place in the Western Division standings with the victory, the 400th for Nashville Coach Barry Trotz, who became just the seventh coach in NHL history to record at least that many wins with a single team.

Nik Antropov got Atlanta's only goal, his 17th of the season, while goalie Johan Hedberg recorded 30 saves in the loss.
