VARAZDIN, Croatia, March 7 (UPI) -- Wins Sunday by Antonio Veic and Ivan Dodig completed a 5-0 sweep of Ecuador in a first-round Davis Cup series with straight-set victories.
Veic defeated Julio Campozano 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) and Dodig beat Ivan Endara 6-1, 6-3 in finishing off the series shutout.

Croatia had wrapped up the best-of-five Davis Cup pairing with singles wins Friday by Ivo Karlovic and Marin Cilic and a doubles win Saturday by Cilic and Karlovic. The Croats didn't drop a set after Karlovic fell behind 1-2 before rallying for a five-set win Friday.
Croatia plays either Serbia or the United States in the Davis Cup quarterfinals in July. Serbia led the United States 2-1 going into Sunday's singles matches.
