NHL: Nashville 4, Edmonton 3

NASHVILLE, March 3 (UPI) -- Jason Arnott bounced the winning goal off the skate of an Edmonton defender in the third period Tuesday to give Nashville a 4-3 win over the Oilers.

Arnott flung the puck blindly at the goal mouth from the rear boards and got a lucky carom off Edmonton's Tom Gilbert to break a 3-3 tie with 14:58 left to play.

Jeff Deslauriers had 24 saves for the Oilers. Mike Comrie, Gilbert Brule and Marc Pouliot accounted for Edmonton's scoring.

Comrie put Edmonton ahead 1-0 on a rebound off a 3-on-1 break at 6:37 of the first period. Nashville struck back with goals by Wilson and Grebeshkov to take a 2-1 lead.

The two teams traded goals the rest of the way and were deadlocked 3-3 after Pouliot beat Deslauriers on a slapshot from the right circle with 17:06 left in regulation.
