Florida hung tough throughout, tying the game at 60-60 with 2:47 left on Vernon Macklin's foul shot. But Ogilvy's put-back off his own miss put the Commodores ahead for good.

The Gators (20-10, 9-6) had a chance to go ahead on 3-point try by Kenny Boynton with 10 seconds left, but the shot was off the mark and Beal then sank two free throws to ice the win.

Macklin ended with 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Alex Tyus contributed nine points and nine rebounds in Florida's loss.
