COL BKB: Purdue 59, Minnesota 58

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Keaton Grant's jump shot with 7.7 seconds to play Wednesday lifted No. 3 Purdue to a 59-58 victory over Minnesota -- the Boilermakers' 10th straight win.

Purdue's star forward, Robbie Hummel, left the game in the first half with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

JaJuan Johnson scored 14 points to lead Purdue (24-3, 12-3 Big Ten), which stayed atop the Big Ten standings, a half-game ahead of Ohio State, a 75-67 victor over Penn State.

E'Twaun Moore and Hummel each scored 11 points and Grant had 10.

Ralph Sampson III scored 21 points for the Gophers (16-11, 7-8).
