Olympic Medal: W Mass Start Biathlon

WHISTLER, British Columbia, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Magdalena Neuner of Germany won the Olympic gold medal Sunday in the women's biathlon mass start 12.5-kilometer race.

It was the second gold and third overall medal for Neuner in the Vancouver Games. She also won the 10-kilometer pursuit and was second in the biathlon sprint.

Olga Zaitseva of Russia took the silver medal in the mass start race and the bronze went to Simone Hauswald of Germany.
