COL BKB: Purdue 75, Illinois 65

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Robbie Hummel netted 22 points, included 12-of-13 from the free-throw line, to lead No. 4 Purdue to a 75-65 triumph over Illinois.

E'Twaun Moore contributed 18 points and Keaton Grant added 15 more for the Boilermakers (23-3, 11-3 Big Ten), who gained a tie with Michigan State atop the Big Ten standings with their ninth straight win.

Illinois was leading by two at 56-54 midway through the second half when Purdue erupted to finish the game on a 21-9 run.

The Illini (17-10, 9-5) got 16 points and 11 rebounds from Mike Davis while Demetri McCamey tied a school record with 16 assists in the defeat.
