ALBUQUERQUE, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Darington Hobson's basket with 16.9 seconds left lifted No. 15 New Mexico to a 59-56 win over Air Force Saturday.

The key bucket was followed up by two clutch free throws from Dairese Gary with 2.5 seconds to go, giving New Mexico (25-3, 11-2 MWC) an 11th straight conference win for the first time in school history.

Hobson finished with 17 points and eight rebounds while Ramon Martinez added 10 points and Gary ended with seven points and five assists in the Lobos' win.

Grant Parker had 17 points for the Falcons (9-16, 1-11), including a driving layup that put Air Force ahead by a point with 26 seconds remaining. Michael Lyons chipped in with 11 points in the defeat.
