LA Clippers deal Camby to Portland

PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Center Marcus Camby was traded Tuesday to the Portland Trail Blazers in a deal that sent two players to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Portland was looking to bolster its inside game since Greg Oden and Joel Przybilla are both out for the season. In Camby, the Trail Blazers get a 14-year NBA veteran who averaged 12.1 rebounds and 7.7 points over 51 games this season for Los Angeles.

The Trail Blazers will be the fifth NBA team for Camby, who played for Toronto, the New York Knicks and Denver before joining the Clippers. He's averaged 10.5 points and 10 rebounds in his 808-game NBA career.

The Clippers get guard Steve Blake, forward Travis Outlaw and cash considerations in exchange for Camby.

Blake averaged 7.6 points and 4 assists in 51 games in Portland. Outlaw put up 9.9 points and 3.5 rebounds over 11 games before breaking a bone in his left foot in November. He hasn't played since.
