NASHVILLE, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Lance Goulbourne, Jermain Beal and Jeffery Taylor combined for 50 points Saturday, helping No. 24 Vanderbilt down LSU 77-69.
A.J. Ogilvy hit 8-of-11 free throws, ending with 12 points for the Commodores (19-5, 8-2 SEC), who improved to 13-0 at home this season.
The decisive stretch came with four minutes to go, when Ogilvy's running jumper broke a 59-59 tie and sparked a 9-2 Vanderbilt run. Beal's 3-point play with 2:04 remaining capped the run to put the Commodores ahead, 68-61.
Vanderbilt erased a one-point halftime deficit by starting the second frame with a 13-4 run, capped by a Taylor lay-up that put the Commodores up 41-33 just over five minutes in.
LSU (9-16, 0-11) was led by Tasmin Mitchell with 20 points, while Bo Spencer chipped in with 18 points and Storm Warren struck for 12 as the Tigers lost their 11th straight.
