COL BKB: Duke 77, Maryland 56

DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Jon Scheyer scored 22 points and Brian Zoubek added 16 Saturday to pace No. 7 Duke to a 77-56 victory over Maryland.

Zoubek was also a monster on the boards, grabbing 17 rebounds, as Duke (21-4, 9-2 ACC) improved to a perfect 14-0 at home this season in Mike Krzyzewski's 1,000th game as the Blue Devils' head coach.

Nolan Smith chipped in with 14 points while Kyle Singler added for 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the win.

Maryland (16-7, 6-3) pulled to within 40-24 at the half, but Duke started the second frame with an 8-2 run, capped by Zoubek's slam dunk at the three-minute mark.

Greivis Vasquez scored 17 points and collected eight rebounds for Maryland, while Cliff Tucker and Eric Hayes contributed 10 and eight points, respectively, in the loss.
