NHL: Nashville 2, N.Y. Rangers 1

NEW YORK, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Colin Wilson's power-play goal in the second period Wednesday helped the Nashville Predators record a 2-1 win over the New York Rangers.

Wilson's second goal this season (unassisted) broke a 1-1 tie at 16:10 of the second, and snapped the Predators five-game road losing streak.

Jordin Tootoo also scored once for Nashville. Net-minder Dan Ellis made 37 saves on 38 shots, capturing his first win since Jan. 15 for the Predators, who suffered a 2-1 shootout loss to the New York Islanders Tuesday.

Vinny Prospal (12, power play) scored New York's lone goal at 9:48 of the second.

Net-minder Henrik Lundqvist was beaten twice on 36 shots for the Rangers, who have lost three of four.

The contest at New York's Madison Square Garden attracted 13,128 fans despite a blizzard in and around New York City Wednesday.
