LAS VEGAS, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Darrington Hobson and Roman Martinez both scored 16 points Wednesday, leading No. 19 New Mexico past 25th-ranked Nevada-Las Vegas 76-66.
The Lobos built an 18-point lead in the second half, saw it cut to four down the stretch and then pulled away to take the lead in the Mountain West Conference.

The conference had three teams ranked among the nation's Top 25 this week, with Brigham Young earning the 17th spot.
New Mexico made 11-of-21 shots from 3-point range while improving to 22-3 for the season. The Lobos are 8-2 in the league, a half game in front of BYU.
Dairese Gary added 15 for the Lobos, who out-rebounded the Rebels by 19.
Nevada-Las Vegas (19-5, 7-3) was led by Oscar Bellfield with 15.
