CHICAGO, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Adrian Aucoin scored in the third round of the shootout Friday, lifting Phoenix to a 2-1 victory over Chicago.
The Coyotes extended their longest winning streak of the season to six games and handed the Blackhawks their third straight loss.
Both sides scored in the shootout's first round before Auocin produced the game-winner by firing a shot that glanced off the right shoulder of goaltender Cristobal Huet.
Chicago's only goal in regulation came from Colin Fraser 4:46 into the contest. Radim Vrbata tied it on the power play with 3:18 left in the second.
LaBarbera made 28 saves. He made his fifth start of 2010 and has won two of them.
