COL BKB: Tennessee 61, Florida 60

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Scotty Hopson's jumper with 17 seconds left Sunday lifted 14th-ranked Tennessee to a tense 61-60 SEC win over Florida.

Hopson's basket came shortly after a 3-pointer by long-range shooter Chandler Parsons had given Florida a 60-59 advantage.

The Volunteers rallied back from a 34-28 halftime deficit, with Hopson scoring six of his 10 points in the second stanza.

Wayne Chism led the victory with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

J.P. Prince scored 12 with 7 rebounds, Hopson added four rebounds and three assists, and Skylar McBee and Cameron Tatum sank key 3-pointers in the comeback for the Volunteers (16-4, 4-2), who stopped a 2-game skid.

Alex Tyus led Florida with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Parsons scored 14 with eight rebounds, and Erving Walker had nine points, three rebounds, and four assists for the Gators (15-6, 4-3), who had won their last four games.
