COL BKB: Ohio State 85, Minnesota 63

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- William Buford, Jon Diebler and Evan Turner combined for 64 points Sunday, carrying No. 24 Ohio State to an 85-63 thrashing of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Buford put up 26 points and Diebler and Turner had 19 apiece in the Buckeyes' fifth straight Big Ten win.

Ohio State (16-6, 6-3 Big Ten) hit a sizzling 63 percent of its field goal attempts,

Rodney Williams scored 13 points and Ralph Sampson added 11 for Minnesota (13-8, 4-5).

The Buckeyes avenged a 73-62 loss to the Gophers in Minneapolis Jan. 9.
