COL BKB: Syracuse 59, DePaul 57

ROSEMONT, Ill., Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Wesley Johnson's double-double Saturday helped No. 4 Syracuse rally from an 18-point deficit to a 59-57 road win over DePaul.

Johnson finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for the Orange (21-1, 8-1 Big East). Kris Joseph added 15 points and Rick Jackson had 10.

Will Walker led the Blue Demons (8-13, 1-8) with 21 points, and Mike Stovall and Mac Koshwal added nine each.

Syracuse trailed throughout the game until Scoop Jardine made a layup with under 4 minutes left that was part of a 16-2 Orange surge.

Syracuse stretched its lead to 59-54 before Walker hit a 3-pointer with 1:08 to go. Andy Rautins missed a 3-pointer for the Orange and Walker followed suit with less than 10 seconds left. Jeremiah Kelly fed the rebound to Koshwal under the basket but time expired as he went to shoot.

DePaul led 35-31 at intermission.
