NBA: Utah 116, New Jersey 83

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Carlos Boozer scored 22 points and Mehmet Okur added 20 to lead the Utah Jazz to a 116-83 thumping of the New Jersey Nets Saturday.

Utah dominated down low, scoring 70 points in the paint, and shot 61.1 percent from the field while sending the Nets to their 11th loss in a row.

The Jazz led 60-42 at halftime and 94-63 after the third quarter, in which Boozer scored 10 points.

"It looked like we were having a lot of fun playing together tonight," said Jazz Coach Jerry Sloan. "We were trying to help each other out defensively. We also passed the basketball and that makes everybody happier."

Paul Milsap came off the bench to score 20 for the Jazz, who have won six of their last seven games.

Yi Jianlian scored 16 for New Jersey. Brook Lopez added 14.
