NEW YORK, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Eight different players scored goals and Marian Gaborik added four assists for the New York Rangers Tuesday en route to an 8-2 pasting of Tampa Bay.
Brandon Dubinsky, Marc Staal, Vinny Prospal and Christopher Higgins each had a goal and an assist for the Rangers, who also got goals from Chris Drury, Daniel Girardi, Enver Lisin and Aaron Voros.
Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves for New York.
The Rangers jumped off to a 2-0 lead early in the first period, and after Vincent Lecavalier pulled Tampa Bay to within 2-1, Drury's tally with at 18:33 of the first sent the Rangers on their way to the blowout.
Alex Tanguay had the goals for the Lightning, who have dropped three of their last four games.
Antero Niittymaki was pulled for Dustin Tokarski late in the second period after giving up five goals on 20 shots. Tokarski allowed three goals on 11 shots for the Lightning.
