COL BKB: Kansas State 71, Texas 62

MANHATTAN, Kan., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Jamar Samuels scored 20 points for No. 9 Kansas State Monday in a 71-62 win over the top-ranked and previously unbeaten Texas Longhorns.

Curtis Kelly contributed 17 points and Jacob Pullen had 12 for the Wildcats (16-2, 3-1 Big 12).

The Longhorns (17-1, 3-1) made only 36.8 percent of their field goals and missed 13 of 22 free throws.

Avery Bradley, with 11 points, was the lone Texas player in double figures.

The Longhorns' defeat left No. 2 Kentucky as the only unbeaten major college team in the country.
