NHL: N.Y. Islanders 4, New Jersey 0

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Rick DiPietro turned in his first shutout of the season Monday, blocking 20 shots in a 4-0 New York Islanders win over the New Jersey Devils.

The Islanders have four won consecutive games and six of their last seven.

Matt Moulson, with two goals, Mark Streit and Josh Bailey scored for New York.

DiPietro, who missed the first three months of the season after undergoing surgery on his left knee, registered his first shutout in nearly a year.

Martin Brodeur gave up the four Islanders goals and had 28 saves before he was relieved by Yann Danis in the third period. Danis turned away 14 shots.
