NBA: Golden State 114, Chicago 97

OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Monta Ellis poured in 36 points and Corey Maggette added 32 Monday, carrying the Golden State Warriors to a 114-97 whipping of the Chicago Bulls.

Golden State took charge with a 9-2 run at the end of the third quarter and stayed in front the rest of the way.

Stephen Curry pitched in with 26 points for the Warriors, who ended a three-game skid. Andris Biedrins grabbed 19 rebounds for Golden State.

John Salmons topped the Bulls' scoring with 25 points. Luol Deng had 20 points and Derrick Rose 19 for Chicago, which had won its previous four contests.
