PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Scottie Reynolds' go-ahead basket Sunday helped fourth-ranked Villanova top No. 11 Georgetown, 82-77, for its seventh straight victory.
Reynolds' lay-up broke a 69-69 tie with 3:14 left.

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Scottie Reynolds' go-ahead basket Sunday helped fourth-ranked Villanova top No. 11 Georgetown, 82-77, for its seventh straight victory. Reynolds' lay-up broke a 69-69 tie with 3:14 left.
Moments later, he secured the win with four straight free throws, capping a 27 point, four rebound performance.
His late heroics came after Villanova had blown a 46-31 halftime advantage.
Maalik Wayns also hit four straight late free throws and scored 11 points.
Reggie Redding had 11 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Corey Fisher added 10 with three steals for the Wildcats (16-1, 5-0 Big East).
Villanova out-shot the Hoyas, 42.6-40 percent.
Greg Monroe led Georgetown with 29 points and 16 rebounds.
Austin Freeman scored 22 with four rebounds and six assists, and Jason Clark added 16 with five rebounds for the Hoyas (13-3, 4-2), who have spit their last four contests.
They committed 15 turnovers.
