Washington fended off a Sacramento rally late in the game. Beno Udrih scored on a layup to pull the Kings to within two, but Martin missed on the next Sacramento possession and Jamison nailed an 18-foot jump shot to make it 90-84 with 53.9 seconds to play.

The Kings, who trailed at halftime 48-44, were unable to threaten the Wizards in the final minute.
