LAWRENCE, Kan., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Third-ranked Kansas raced out to a 42-18 halftime lead Saturday and ripped Texas Tech 89-63 in a Big 12 Conference tussle at Lawrence.

The victory was the Jayhawks' 52nd straight on their home court, Allen Fieldhouse.

Marcus Morris paced the winners with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Cole Aldrich scored 14 with seven rebounds, while Xavier Henry scored 14 with five assists for the Jayhawks (16-1, 2-0), who have won two straight since their only loss this season, 76-68, at then 15th-ranked Tennessee last Sunday.

They shot 43.3 percent and had a 48-37 rebounding advantage.

John Roberson's 16 points and five assists led Texas Tech.

No other player scored in double figures for the Red Raiders (12-5, 0-3), who have lost three in a row.

They blocked 10 shots, but shot just 32.8 percent.
