INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Willie Veasley scored 16 points Thursday, helping No. 22 Butler pull away down the stretch to defeat Cleveland State 64-55.
Butler improved to 13-4 and remained unbeaten in six Horizon League games.

The Bulldogs trailed by as many as nine points in the first half, but inched in front by three with 9:23 to play. Butler then went on an 8-2 run over almost six minutes to break open the game.
Shelvin Mack made 6-of-8 shots from the field and added 15 points for Butler, winners of seven of their last eight.
Cleveland State (7-11, 3-3) was led by Jeremy Montgomery with 22. Butler attempted 21 foul shots to just seven for the Vikings.
