COL BKB: BYU 67, Air Force 49

COLORADO SPRINGS, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Jackson Emery scored 21 points Wednesday and No. 17 Brigham Young went on a huge second-half run to blast Air Force 67-49.

The Cougars, enjoying their highest national ranking in two decades, won their 12th straight game.

Emery made 5-of-10 shots from 3-point range and Brandon Davies added 11 points with 10 rebounds. BYU advanced to 17-1 and 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference.

Derek Brooks, with 10 points, was the only player in double figures for the Falcons (8-8, 0-3).

BYU owned an eight-point lead near the midway point of the second half before embarking on a 23-4 surge. Air Force was held to 33 percent shooting from the field and went to the foul line just seven times.
