NBA: Oklahoma City 108, Indiana 102

OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant scored 40 points Saturday in Oklahoma City's 108-102 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Durant shot 12-of-18 from the field and scored six consecutive points in the final three minutes to fend off an Indiana rally down the stretch.

Russell Westbrook scored 19 for the Thunder and collected nine rebounds.

Danny Granger scored 25 points and A.J. Price added 23 to lead the Pacers. Troy Murphy had a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Indiana made a bid for a come-from-behind victory with a 9-point run that cut the Thunder's double-digit lead to 93-92 with 5:15 to play.

The Pacers remained within a possession until the 3-minute mark when Durant hit two field goals and a pair of free throws to give Oklahoma City a 102-94 edge with 51.3 to play.

Durant also had a dozen points in the second quarter to help stake the Thunder to a 53-47 halftime lead.
