IRVING, Texas, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Former Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Terry Glenn faces a stolen car charge, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram said.

Glenn's attorney, Luis Vera, told the newspaper his client was pulled over by police on Tuesday when he tried to return a Chevrolet Suburban to National Car Rental at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.

A check said Glenn rented a Chevrolet Suburban on Nov. 10 and a police spokeswoman said a National representative reported the vehicle had been stolen even though the company had Glenn's credit card imprint.

"This is the biggest crock of garbage I've ever heard of," Vera told the newspaper. "Some idiot at National did this. For what reason I don't know."

Glenn had damaged his own vehicle and had returned from a Christmas holiday vacation in New York.

A National Car Rental representative said the company is investigating the incident.
