CLEVELAND, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Premier NFL kick returner Joshua Cribbs will demand a trade from the Cleveland Browns, his agent, J.R. Rickert, told the Akron Beacon Journal.

"He's going in there (Thursday) and cleaning out his locker,'' Peter Schaffer told the newspaper, adding Cribbs felt insulted by the Browns' contract offer of $1.4 million per year. "'He wants out (and) will never play for the Browns again unless they treat him fairly."

Cribbs, a quarterback at Kent State, compiled 1,542 yards on 56 kickoff returns, scoring three touchdowns, and added 452 yards on 38 punt returns with one touchdown.

He established an NFL record on Dec. 20 when he scored on 100- and 103-yard kickoff returns in a 41-34 win at Kansas City.

Cribbs, a Pro Bowl choice this season for the second time in his five-year career, has three years left on a six-year, $6.7 million contract.
